Many students from countries outside the European Union will need a visa to study in the United Kingdom. Some students may need to apply for the visa before entering the United Kingdom. Others can enter the United Kingdom and then apply for a student visa once in London. Please check which category your home country falls into.
After receiving payment of all the requested fees the college will send the student a Confirmation of Enrolment letter and the CAS(Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) number. This contains the start date and duration of the course, expected arrival date in the United Kingdom (if applicable), the total invoice amount for the student's programme of study and the amount paid to the college.
Upon receiving your Confirmation of Enrolment letter and the CAS number, take it along with all relevant documents to the nearest visa application centre in your home country or to the United Kingdom Home Office if applying after entering the United Kingdom.
Students cannot start their course until a visa has been issued so you must allow enough time for the application to be processed. For the latest information www.ukvisas.gov.uk on the visa application process see and www.educationuk.org or contact the United Kingdom Home Office (if already in the United Kingdom) or local British Embassy/Consulate (if applying from outside the United Kingdom).
